Got my "Bulletproof diesel" 7.3 fan clutch adapter. Can wait to get it on with new belts, tensioners and new idler pulley bearings!
Got to give props to Bulletproof diesel! Got my adapter in two days and came with a sweet beer-coozi and sticker! Not to mention the adapter is nice!! Well made!! They just gained a repeat customer! Thanks a lot guys!

Well I crawled under the truck again to check the driveline. It is a bad bearing.
I talked to one of the guys at Drivelines NW in Fife,WA He said that there are
a few types of bearings that were used and if I bring it by he can step out and
identify what one I have.
You can see the broken spots of the rubber bushing for the bearing.
While I was looking around I took a look at the front drive shaft and thing
it needs a little loving too. The slip joint felt a little dry and clunky.
Just not looking forward to doing the U-joints on the front.
I hate that type of joint. But it needs to be done so I may as well get on with it.
Or at least add it to the ToDo list.

Can't do it with bolt up on both ends. That is from the guy at the driveline shop.

That doesn't surprise me.....
I'll be leaving Japan next weekend, I'll send you a picture. Solid drive line with a slip joint, 2 u-joints and was just over $200. The bearing and joint were toast, my drive line guy said... let me see what i can do. Might just prove to be one of the best things to do, no vibration from a joint needing grease, no extra u-joints to replace and that stupid carrier bearing gone. Actually decreases the angle of the drive line and probably increases u-joint life by not flexing as much.
Honestly Sean, I just didn't want the hassle of that carrier bearing and changing u-joints and you get the idea, just giving a recommendation of what worked for me. By the time he was done adding up the $$$ to replace that thing, he suggested a solid shaft.

I have done 2 of the stupid joints. Lots of very nasty words to say the least.
