Went to do a quick rear pad change before disappearing off to England on holiday and the caliper starts dripping when I push the pistons back. Turns out one of the pistons jammed, inside pad had disappeared, disc is toast, and it looks like one of the pistons exploded its so splayed out at the top. Didn't think to take a photo - had to get everything back together to close the garage door and sort the mini out.

Ordered complete brakes for the back axle, changed the ferry booking, cut down on the suitcases, and we're now driving around on the left in the mini - bit tight with the dog, but getting twice the mileage, plus we can park in town centres without upsetting everyone.

So what did you do to your 6.0L today?

Filled her up wit 30 gallons of fuel and added some diesel kleen and 2 stroke oil for the first time since May. Making a trip to NW Alabama tomorrow. Will be the longest drive it's been on since I've owned it.

Nothing!!! Again thanks to this forum and a pocket full of money. Coming up to 2 years 50,000 miles since bulletproofing.

The 6.0 is really an amazing powerhouse when done right, I'm as happy as can be. Thanks FTE for all the tips on bulletproofing

You too huh?

That's right, we got our trucks about the same time and bulletproofed them too!

My 2 year anniversary of 6.0 ownership and bulletproofing is next month!

It'll be closer to 75K since bulletproofing and STILL always ready to rock and ruin whenever I'm ready.
