Pulling out tomorrow night at 3ish a.m. . Hopefully they sleep til about 8am. That should get me through DC. I don't want to stop along 495/95(?).

ahh more north and more central.. DC traffic can be miserable... would suggest dropping down to 70.. taking it to 522 through hancock.. follow that till you hit winchester. take 81 south.. 81 to 66. 66 to 17. follow 17 to 95.. then just follow 95 till you hit 295 and then follow 64 to HR.. its alot quicker than going past DC.. might save you a couple hours by avoiding all of DC traffic....

 

Charlie gave me those directions too! The problem is, I don't want to tri and follow the #'s, while everyone is sleeping. I tell my nav to get me there fastest, and it sends me through there every time. Now my sisters nav takes her that way, but she leaves before me. I will watch the nav, and see if I "accidently" pick a destination, than choose my final destination if it will work.

 

i have to trick the gps into going that way... it usually tries taking me through DC but learned i could trick it by having it "stop" in winchester where we usually fill up... plus if youll be stopping about DC area to eat.. theres use to be a nice place to eat in berkley springs... we usually stop in gateway though...

 

Berkley Springs might be what my sister told me to tell the nav.

 

its nice but them small towns annoy me a little.. they make me a little sleepy going through them

got a little concerned when I saw coolant all over my exhaust manifold.

Turns out I didn't put a hose clamp on well enough when putting in a new heater core line.

So, I repositioned a hose clamp today. LOL =D

 

Took the first longer road trip with the family, 250 miles one way sc2 said I hit 20.5 avg mpg!
