I have installed p/s filters on other vehicles. Do not really see the need on the superduty.

Cool. I just did it for peace of mind and not having to think about it. Lol. Also, I was concerned tat the previous owner did not take care of it. The original power steering fluid just looked nasty.

Mine doesn't look too appetizing as well. I was thinking of doing a Youtube video of the process.

Got and installed a gas pedal today in the truck! Finally no more stick to step on, I'll have an actual pedal! Also picked up "new/used" tires for the pig. Two basically like new and two with little wear for $200 bones and in my own town! What a good day!

Ordered a set of racor fuel filter/water filters and an oil filter from the dieselfiltersite.com. $92 including shipping ($32 to ship) better then the $150 to buy local from the dealer.

And finally sent my order to gear head for a set of tunes for my SCT

Replaced upper CAC hose and clamps. Didn't plan on doing it but after it popped off 3 times in less than 10 miles it seems like the prudent thing to do.

Apparently the hose lost it's stickiness and the clamp wouldn't stay in place, it would just slip down the hose until it wasn't clamping anymore. The more I'd tighten it the faster it would slip.

Temporary fix was to wrap a length of emery cloth, rough side down, around the hose and clamp over it.

Lol. Some nasty stuff in there. Mine was brown and smelled burnt. Ever since I changed it out a year ago, it's still looking red. I used Mobil 1 fully synthetic ATF. It'll be better if u have a partner pump the brakes and turn the key to KOEO while u collect the nasty stuff and refill the bottle.

A trick from the race car pits on boosted cars for slippery couplers is to spray them down with brake cleaner to get the oil off, then when they dry spray them with hair spray and put it together real quick. Works great for vacuum lines that pop off under boost as well.

I've done plenty of superduty P/S flushes... I used to maintain 25+ 6.0 trucks. Not ok mention the plethora of 7.3s before that.
