put my new rancho 7000s in... also popped the hood to do a routine inspection, and noticed dried coolant on the degas bottle. it was mainly focused near the hose from the radiator, not so much near the cap. took the cap off and nothing was dried under there. really hoping it was just a fluke from the hose or something...i took the clamp off, pushed hose up a little and reset the clamp. ugh

Did you test the hose for leaks?

i did not, but i just put about 50 miles on it and got into it pretty good often and does not appear to have leaked again

i think ill just cut the hose off where the clamp impression is, and put it back on with a hose clamp

Drove from Virginia to Philadelphia for some meetings. When those were over for the day, drove over to New Jersey and met up with TooManyToys. Talked trucks, looked at alternators and third batteries and cables... then we made a couple videos.

Thanks Jack, enjoyed our conversation and dinner!

No, Jack actually drove down from his place and met me at Mt. Laurel, where I'm currently staying for this trip. I think he wanted to see that third battery mod I did and get a meter on it to verify our suspicions of how good this mod really is.

Would love to get Bill, Pete and Jack in the same place... maybe drink an ice cold tea.

Check back a bit from the clamp at about where the nipple ends.
That can be a stress point on a hose.

The truck got some new tires today. Nice good Take-offs $800
for the set mount and balance.

I just could not wait any longer after the slip sliding today.

I need to find a better mpg tune than innovative extreme race. Im going to be commuting 110mi a day for new job starting in 2 weeks so I'd like to do best i can.

Also think i might need an icp sensor...truck randomly revs itself up while driving or in park

friend of mine changed his ICP sensor which his was doing the same... said the problem went away for 2 weeks then came back.. hes stumped with it because its making his truck too dangerous to drive... told me the rpms were running up high enough at stop lights that it starts over powering the brakes.. when it restarted he was on a long trip.. any time he had to stop for something he was having to shift into neutral..

Mine did that but it was ipr. It was surging bad through the brakes. Now it just revs itself up 200 rpm or so, mostly in park. You can feel it sometimes while driving as well. wondering if my new ish ford pedal assembly is bad or icp

Beat me to it Randy, I can't believe oil would make that big a change in a truck running but I'm a believer.

Switching to Delo 5W-40 has eliminated my ICP surging, same as these guys are claiming to have happening.
