53ZZ502 Build 1953 F1 D
Bought the truck in Alabama early last year. The previous owner had a tilt front end plus a front wheel drive Cadillac 500ci. It was something that must have been done in the 80's or 90's. I was always drawn the the lines of these trucks and I was not planning on trying to go back to stock, so it being non original was fine. The transformation of this truck started on the 4th of July weekend 2016. Please don't pre-judge me because I am dropping a bowtie in, I had built this motor with other intentions and it's all I have available. The punched out 502 with a 1050 on pump gas dynoed at 734. The video of the pull is awesome and sounds great. All the frame work is being done at Labes Pro Street shop. Those of you Rod guys may remember their 34' Ridler award winner. The rear 20x16 American Racing wheels have been fitted with Micky Thompson's and the AirRide Tech setup that I bought for an Oldsmobile is mounting up nicely. I know we are still a dozen months away from being finished, but if your interested I'll keep you posted right here.

I had to go back and read again. It was front wheel drive when you got it???
That is a strange goal to combine with a fat fendered Ford! How many beers did it take to finalize that plan!!! LOL EWWW....Yeah...probably should of thought that one out a little longer...
Not that I'm a genius, but that just is odd (a little interesting too)
So you plan to drop the 502 in it with rear wheel drive?
Just trying to wrap my head around the front wheel drive still...
Hey welcome aboard!! I'm really not bashing your truck, It looks good!

Ok I see now. So the front of the caddie frame was grafted into the truck frame. So my knowledge base is null and void on that combination. Never heard of that on here before or anywhere else for that matter. So you are keeping it front wheel drive?
Very interesting. Very intrigued!
Again Welcome to the forum!
I have been out of touch for quite some time. Life stuff....But I still think this is a great place! I'm just a little behind with what's been happening with my truck family here. I'm Jeff, my Wife is Nicolle. She is never on here, but she is the one who really pushed me to a Ford Truck project. I'm in deep now!

It's been awhile
Not sure how to reduce the size of the pictures, perhaps a moderator can help out, but did want to update you after almost five years into this build. I uploaded more pic's to instagram 53ZZ502
The only good thing about how long this is taking it has allowed me to purchase what I really wanted, and do additional things I did not think about back in 2017.
Questions and comments welcome
Frame is pretty much done, needs coated
All the fiberglass is gone and replaced
Fitment days ahead
Ordered the TMI seats, door inserts & center
Tuck in nicely
