A few of the main-stream truck vendors sell repair patch panels, and Dennis carpenter reproduces the Styleside tailgate.I believe that's about it.No complete fenders, hoods, door skins that I'm aware of.
Well I just bought the 59 F250 4x4, and I bought a rust free F100 so hopefully I will have everything I need. Don't the 61-66 models have a much greater selection on parts availability, or are they very limited as well?
Yes.When you can buy parts at excellent prices, stock up your parts shelf. Some parts are difficult to find. You may not need them now,but you will some day.And like-as-not,when you need them most, they'll be hard to find.
I agree. Did Ford use the same flareside bed from 1958-1979? I have a 62 with 78 running gear that I want to swap the under bed fuel tank, bed, etc. to my other 62 with factory 62 running gear.

Wow, a junior user that knows the difference between a Flareside and a stepside! Give that man a Cupie Doll!
Haha I may be a junior user, but that is only because I have forgotten passwords to two previous accounts. Haha I have had 7 flaresides, but I still don't know the answer to my question. Can anyone chime in with the differences over re years so I will know if the 78 fuel tank/bed setup will work with my 62 frame? Thanks guys

They are not the same. The '73-'79 truck widened the rails just behind the cab. It is also 2" longer than a '67-'72 bed. The '67-'72 trucks are 2" longer in wheelbase than '61-'66 trucks but I do not know where. It may be in the cab area so it might be the same bed as yours & the '67-72. Not a complete answer but hopefully it helps a bit.
That definitely helps. Now we know the 78 bed will bolt into the 62 frame without any mounting issues. What about the 78 fuel tank behind secured to the 62 frame?? I believe the 62 frame is narrower than the 78? Will the fuel tank (behind rear axle) still work?
