Thanks! It has been a journey, and a lot of time, hope to be driving it later this year. Paint will have to wait though.

Oh man, I got a new welder today (early B-day present from me to me)
It's a Lincoln 180HD kit, came with the reg and some other odds and ends. Picked it for $569, normally $699.
I LOVE this welder! Such an improvement over the HF 151 I have. Makes me want to go back through and redo some welds,
I had planned on doing that anyhow but now I really want to. It is actually fun to use this thing, the HF welder is frustrating by comparison.
Took some getting used to, the settings are a lot different, spent a couple of hours on different stock and different settings, making notes along the way.

Update time!
I have been working my *** off on this thing and starting make some progress.
I got the rear quarters straight, there was no rust on this body but man were they ****ed up!
Took me a lot of time with a hammer and dollie, got them pretty close then hit them with the filler. From there I got them close enough to use some polyester glaze.
Laid some primer this week, 2 coats of mild etch on the bare steel (there wasn't much of that) and 3 coats of 2k over the whole thing. I didn't take it all to bare steel, places like the roof and cowl, a pillars and such that had the original paint still on them I took down to factory primer and sprayed the 2k over that. I am taking a little bit of a gamble here, I hope it works out!
I have settled on a color choice, Ford White Suede, not many white 78/79 Broncos running around and none in the new colors. I will be spraying the door jambs, tail gate jambs and the hood jamb next weekend, then hang the doors and start blocking them into the rear quarters.

I may do some striping similar to what the Freewheeling Broncos had, but with shades of silver. If I go that route I will be doing them in vinyl, not paint.

Dang that is one sweet engine. I like the way you roll Raleigh...By chance, can/would you tell me the color code for the chrome powder coating? I am gonna resto my 79 F350 4x4 SC and I am considering doing this like you have done...Very nice touch man!!

I will ask my painter what the powder code for this color is, it is a chrome powder followed by a clear powder, it is really deep and glossy in person.
