Timing Set Install

Timing Set Install
So I searched around a bunch and can't find a thread that details installing aftermarket timing set on the stock cam that doesn't end in "stock cam is junk don't waste your time"
I know it's junk but I'm not installing a cam in a motor that I plan on pulling over the summer. Just need to get it running for a few more months.
The question is which is it:
A- the stock cam is ground with 4 degrees retard an I should install the timing set 4 degrees advanced
Or
B- the stock cam is installed 4 degrees retard and I should install it at 0 (straight up)
Or
C- I should quit while I'm ahead and start collecting stamps.
And to clarify I'm disassembling ATC then on assembly rotating the crank until the dots on the new set line up?
Thanks
