Well, contrary to most, I think the D44 is a fine axle. The only thing is that you've gotta respect it's limitations.

Exactly. The D44 is fine for many/most. Hardcore off-roading or huge tires dictate a d60, but most people actually don't NEED them.

Oh I agree. Nothing wrong with a D44, my chevy blazer has 2, I was just thinking that if the crewcab was an F350 and had a D60 might as well throw it in the mix.

Yeah, on my regular cab, I ran 36s for years and never had a problem. Gotta be somewhat gentle on it though.

That being said, my Dodge has a 60F/70R combo

Ok - back on topic. I PMed this guy but haven't gotten an answer yet. That HAS to be on a std. cab, LONG bed frame - right? I would think a short bed frame would be too short.

Maybe if I get to the shop today & remember I'll take a measurement of my crew cab.

Unless it is a super cab short bed but I don't think it is. It is the perfect size bed if i say so myself.

Bed is ok. I don't hate it by any means, but it might be a bit tight to fit some stuff in. I do LOVE the wheel base though & fact it looks like you could actually make a u-turn without it being a 15 point turn.

That truck does look cool. I'd say it's a supercab shortbox. The bed is really small for actually hauling stuff though.

The owner said it was a standard cab frame.

Based on my measurements at the shop today it HAS to be a long bed, as if it were a short bed the tire would be hitting the rear door.

Also - there were not supercab short bed 4wds made, but that doesn't mean people don't have enough fab skills to convert things. If he put the cab on another frame I bet he'd be open to converting it to 4wd as well.

Both pictures I posted were regular cab long bed frames.

Sorry for the late reply

I just got back in town after being gone for a week & noticed I had a reply to the PM I shot him on the truck.

Here is what he said:
