hello im new to this forum so my question may have already have been answered, so here goes im putting a 460 in my truck and need to know if anyone has done this and what type of trans mount was used.

I put a 460/v6 in my 55,and I used the NoLimit offset trans mount bar
as I have the volare front clip with the honkin big steering box.
TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER VOLARE OFFSET-No Limit Engineering
I m also using the same but non-offset bar on my 56 with the chevy engine/trans.
TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER CENTERED-No Limit Engineering

mine still has the factory front axle in it. so dont know if that will help but will definitely look into it as i have a 2x4 holding my tranny up in place for the time being. i have a crossmember for a 70s model ford truck that i was going to use in it but the thing is way to tall and make my bellhousing and tailshaft hit the bottom of the cab.

 

ordered the crossmember you told me about yesterday from mid fifty now just waiting on it to get here. let you know how it goes when i get it and again thanks for the help.
