My PSD has been down for almost a month now, but i still shead a tear when i pass by gas stations and see the diesel prices. Highest i saw in NE ohio was 4.25

The big thing oil companys love to do is if they see a big event such as the Irans treat to close the strait where a lot of oil goes through they will jack up prices "In fear". Like they did when the US and NATO started bombing Libya.

Another thing they should be thought about is everything is delivered by diesel from truck to train to ship all on diesel.

I just got back from my week in Daytona FL
... I had bought a 99 zx2 escort about 3 weeks back since it gets 34 highway(didnt expect it to be that good)!
As im driving down through ohio... kentucky...virginias, carolinas, georgia and florida... the price started in Northern ohio at 3.85! I saw it vary from 3.69 all the way up to 4.60!
I was sure happy to be payin 3.89-3.99 for Gas since it only took me around 40 bucks to get 325 miles! lol

 

I know what your saying Alex but if the oil companies would quit telling the auto companies to keep the mileage down, the mileage should be a lot higher. I still have a 81 Jetta that gets 40mpg and that's 30 year technology!!
