HPOP LEAK

Well I fixed the ebpv oil leak but now my hpop is leaking. I verified it for sure, I can see oil at the plug on rear of it. Would I be smart to install the T500, I plan on bigger injectors and chip in future. Any advice is appriciated. Thanks Chad!

If oil is coming out of the plug on The back you can change the oring

A T500 couldn't hurt

Ok well the hpop has 275,000 on as far as I know. How much is the t500 going for now? I will look into a super duty hpop tomorow, I have read they are an improvement over stock.

If your truck is a '96 or '97 you can swap a SD HPOP right on, if it's a 94.5 or 95 you need a special HPOP.

I'd go with a T500 if you are planning on injectors and other upgrades in the future. You can get it from Riffraff Diesel for a good price.

Chad, simple fix. Remove the 11/16" plug and replace the O ring with a Viton #6 O ring.

Hey thanks Joey! I was trying to find a good excuse to upgrade.. Is it neccesary to remove to hpop to replace the oring?

I had to fix it so the op wouldn't think that maybe it would mess with his canooter valve or throw the exhaust bearing out of balance

You don't I've to remove the HPOP. Removing the fuel bowl will give you all the room you need
