Well... got her puring like a kitten and roaring like a linon. I figurered I'd take her up to Pigeon Forge this past weekend. Made it up there with no complaints. Upon arrival, pulled into a parking lot to set a game plan, and out cut the motor. Finally get to the bottom of it after poking around.. dizzy gear wore out and stripped teeth, guess I had the wrong gear. When I asked Howard's of witch gear I should use, they told me the standard was fine. I'm thinking I'll be fine to just drop the oil pan and maybe replace the oil pump at worst case senerio.

Yeah, how's the repair coming. I don't even have mine together yet, but opted for a bronze cam gear. Needs the roll pin hole drilled in the proper location too, even though it's an MSD, just like my distributor.
