HID projector retrofit

Hey guys, New to this forum, just wanted to share my retrofit for the Raptor. Its a HUGE improvement over the stock lights and 100% legal, not like a pnp kit. I used a bi-xenon projector with 35w bulbs and ballast.

Getting the headlights apart is a PITA but I learned a few tricks along the way. If anyone has any questions about doing a retro for a 2009+ let me know. Heres some pics of the headlights and output shots.

That looks nice. The truck and your mod. I like the fact that your headlight assemblies are black like your truck. Taking pictures of a black truck in the snow was a great idea as well.

I put aftermarket projector assemblies and HID in my 2012 F150 Platinum as headlights and just put HIDs into the factory fog lights. I am very pleased with the results. I did not have to do any adjusting as they aimed low enough to not glare oncomming traffic. When I show people my new truck that I picked up from the dealer 4 weeks ago they can't believe that the headlight assemblies are not factory. Ford should offer HIDs on these high end F150 trucks that cost $50k. Maybe I should add some pictures of mine.

Totally agree, should come like that from the factory. I did a couple sets for friends without painting anything and it looks 100% factory.

Post some pics up of your retro, Id like to see.

If you're going to put hids in the stock hosing you.need to black out the reflector. It's not the main beam that blinds people its the stray beams of light from the reflector you no longer need.

When you say "blackout" do you mean with an application spray product or do you mean retro fit material(s) ?

That is sweet, I wanna do that to my 250. My 35w 8000k kit from my last truck would work in my new one, but I hated the way the light scattered on high beams, I'll never use an hid kit without projectors again.
