1977 speedometer 85 or 100 mph

I believe the 85 mph speedometer was a mid-year change in '77.
Another thing to remember, these odometers only register up to 99,999.9 then go to 0 and start over. That "low mileage" could be +100 or even 200,000 miles, personally my truck shows 35,000+ miles but in reality it's 435,000+miles!
EDIT: I checked the parts catalog. It doesn't give a s/n breakdown but it shows that the 100MPH speedo was used from 73-77, then the 85MPH was used from 77-79 so it was a mid year change for '77.

I have a "late" '77 (Y60,xxx S/N) F250. It has the stock cluster in it which reads 0-100mph. Factory did some odd stuff with extra stock!
I saw a post where people had to modify 0-100mph clusters to get the high-beam light in the correct position - mine is at the top of the speedometer where it's supposed to be, and I always assumed it was normal. Is this something weird/rare?

Thanks guys! I am not going to let it bother me as long as I know there is a reasonable chance that it is original. There really isn`t much concern as the truck is a full resto with good documentation. I just had some doubt because I thought all 77 trucks still had the 100 mph units. As is proven here with other members experience, it was a mid-year running change.

I don't know about selling it? They are pretty common and I could get another. The cost would be in the shipping to Belgium. You cover that and I would be happy to package it up safely and send it.
