On the main page of this forum, here, there's a button in the lower left called New Thread that takes you here. Don't know about needing a number of posts before you have a new thread, but that is possible.
However, I can't see the picture. You have to have your pictures hosted somewhere on the internet, not on your PC, to post them. I use FTE and you can get there by clicking on User CP in the upper left and going to Pictures and Albums. Start an album and add some pics from your PC. Then scroll down and copy the BB code on that pic and paste it into a post.
There is supposed to be a hose coming off of the PCV valve and it goes to a large port on the bottom of the carb or intake manifold.

alright so on top of the PCV valce is a nipple thing above the larger hose, just to double check no hose goes from the top of the PCV valve to anything? The big hose to the carburetor is all good, I have that. And also, I have to get more specific the numbers, but I have a Carter AFB competition series carburetor, i read throughout the forum here and noticed you're a fan Mr. Lewis? So it's a good carburetor?

Most of the PCV valves have an extra nipple molded into them, but they aren't open - there's no hole. So there's no hose to be connected.
As for the carb, yes I am a fan of Carter carbs. The AFB is essentially what the Edelbrock Performer series is, which includes the 1406 that I'm running. They a good, solid carbs and are pretty much set-and-forget as there aren't that many things to go wrong. They aren't terribly sophisticated but that simplicity is a blessing when you want to drive the vehicle instead of tinker (repair).
