New Change from 2011 to 2012 Superduty
I just found out that they changed the driver side floor from the 2011 to the 2012 and was wondering why they did this? Was it because of any transmission changes we don't know about? The reason I know they changed the driver side floor is because I bought weather tech mats and they didn't fit correct so I called the place I bought them from who in turn called weather tech and the answer they got was:
"It is going to be 12-13 weeks before we have the new mats to fit the floor of the 2012 Ford Super duty because they changed the floor shape"
I didn't want to wait that long so I just kept the set of mats for the 2011 which fit good except for a little bump up under the peddles which didn't bother me and for the price I will just buy a new set in 3 months when they get the 2012 mats correct. Just thought I would let everyone know. LOVE THIS TRUCK IT IS UNBELIEVABLY ENJOYABLE TO DRIVE!!!!

Hrm, thats a little strange. I bought Weathertech mats about a month ago for my 2012 XL S/C. Weather tech Part# W203-W206. They fit just fine...haven't noticed any strange bumps. As of this AM, Weathertech still lists that P/N for the 2012 and it is the same P/N still for the 2011.
I ordered them from Weathertech directly. If you didn't maybe there was a mistake on their end and they shipped you ones for the 2010?

Mine appear to fit fine also thats why I decided to keep them, but look very closely under the brake peddle and you will see the liner sits off the floor about 3 inches which tipped me off because weather tech mats fits so precise I thought they might have been a defect. Check your truck and let me know.

That is interesting. I think I will call weather tech today and try to see if they tell me the same thing the dealer I bought mine from who is a weather tech dealer said. My mats like I said appear to fit perfect but up under the peddles they definitely sit up in the air. I will report back the answer when I get in touch with weather tech.

Just got off the phone with weather tech and they said Ford made a mid year change in their driver side floors. So apparently my truck has the different floor which is why the mat doesn't fit right. Looks like I'll have to wait the 2-3 months or so to get the correct mat. What I really want to know is why did Ford change the floor mid year in these trucks?

Thats the picture of the mat I have but my floor is flat across under the peddles not bumped up like this mat is designed for.

I tried to order the WeatherTech mats last weekend but the 2012 would not complete; sent them a question on their website (which they did not respond to). Tuesday I tried again and the 2012 worked but asked me the question about the raised left hand side of the drivers area with the picture as posted in link already posted above: with this text:
"Ford has introduced a mid-model year change affecting the floorspace of all Super Duty trucks in which the forward-left corner (dead pedal) has been raised. 2012 Super Duty trucks may be equipped with either the "Depressed" or "Raised" foward-left corner of the driver-side floorspace.
Pictured is an example of a model with the "Depressed" forward-left corner:"
I just figured they were giving a 'dead pedal'
In any case mine is depressed as in photo; they arrived via FedEx this morning.
My visors are plastic, were the 2011 cloth covered?
