Here's one for you EFI guru's

I just bought a 95 F150 for $500. It's got a 351W/E4OD in it. The 351 is locked up tight. So as long as I have to replace the short block, I'm thinkin on swapping in a stroker shortblock to give it some more torque. Problem is it's a speed density motor, so what would I need to do to compensate for the extra stroke. I'm also going to go roller, with the stock F4TE cam, but with 1.7 rockers and port the exhaust sides of the E7 heads then add shorty headers.

You're building a 393 or larger with E7 heads? It's nearly pointless but if you do you won't have to change anything with the EFI system because it won't make any more than 275hp max and that's well within the capabilities of the stock SD EFI setup.

There are no re-flashable parts inside the EEC-4.

Just looking to give it more torque, not looking to make it into a drag truck. Probably won't do it though as the prices for a stroker are more than I want to put into it. I'm thinking on just going back with a reman shortblock and driving it a year or so then flipping it. I can get a reman short block here for $500. Probly just port the exhausts and add a set of Hedman shorty's and call it good.

Well we got the motor out. The PO didn't feel the need to check the oil or the coolant. And the guy who did the engine rebuild and install didn't feel the need to tighten bolts, nor use the oil pan rail stiffeners. As a result, the #4 and 8 rod journals got starved for oil. The engine obvjously ran hot too. The bearings on that rod journal welded themselves to the crank, Bending both rods and breaking one rod cap. The one rod came loose, jamming itself up against the other rod. Luckily the block was spared. Just need a fresh crank, two rods and two 40 over pistons. The heads have been rebuilt and are still fresh. about half the injectors were leaning out, gonna clean em all, then remove the Thermactor bumps, install 1.7 rockers and shorty headers and call it good.
