Exhaust for V-10

I have been looking at aftermarket exhaust systems and I can't find any for the V-10. Plenty for diesels, but no V-10 setups to be found.

What are people running out there?

D.

I know Gibson has one, I think someone on this board is running Banks, and I think Magnaflow has something.

I've only found cat back systems from Gibson. Flowmaster, to me, sounds the best, but now you're talking bending pipe.

well if you your V-10 to have any decent sound you have to eliminate the factory cat, its a huge sound deadener. I started my truck with just the cat and it was really quiet. I had a local shop eliminate the cat, put on a Flowmaster 80 series muffler, 3" in, dual 2.5" out and out on each rear corner. Its got some volume when u jump on it but dont hear it at all during normal driving. Gotta warm ya thou, its not a deep rumble you would expect, it sounds like a corvette or Lambo. It only ran me around 500 installed. Hope that helps. Im slacking on posting the sound, hopefully soon.

What does the gro suggest for people who can't remove the cat (CA and a few other states)?

I run the Banks Torque Tube system on my V10...

System includes, Headers, less restrictive Y-pipe, Heat Shields and all stainless hardware.

Running OEM Cat ( which is not very restrictive).
Into a Magnaflow full size 3" in by 2x3" out, pipes are all Stainless 3".

Nice rumble at idle, wakes up when you wanna burn some Gas and Rubber!

I have the Gibson exhaust on my Jeep TJ, on my 3rd header.
My Gibson keeps cracking at the weld spots.

When I decided to do the EX last year and looked at the amount of labor involved... It was a no brainer for me not to use Gibson. So that left me just a few options.

I can recommend the banks, no leaks, no issues!

Robert you don't need too! The restiction is mainly at the Y-pipe on our rigs.

The only reason I went to headers is that I had a couple broken exhaust studs, so figured WTH and replaced everthing.

I am having my buddy build me a CAT delete, just a straight pipe with flanges on it, so I can put the CAT back in once a year to get inspected.

Well thankfully NJ has really relaxed on there inspections, my truck would have never gone through a couple years ago, only because the tires stick out and I dont have oversized mud flaps. Now you drive up with no check engine light on and you get a sticker, Its great!

it would come out right under the rear doors on the excursion anyway. that'd be kinda weird.
