And here's a "guide" in case you're considering one without custom tunes:

Installed Airaid intake, now mil on - F150online Forums

F150online Forums - View Single Post - Re-tune if adding CAI?

F150online Forums - View Single Post - Re-tune if adding CAI?

Couple Questions - F150online Forums

Plenty more on the Internet if you're willing to do your research.

Make sure you know what you're buying (and how much more you'll need to spend) BEFORE you spend the money.

To be fair, you should tell 04/05 owners that a CEL is 99% guaranteed

A 06-08 is gonna be hit or miss for a CEL

Good recommendation!

But just to clarify, a canned tuner is worthless with a warmer-air-than-stock-under-the-hood-bling-intake (WASHOOBI). You need custom tunes (Gryphon CS/CTS or SCT XCAL3, LiveWire, or SF3).
