Thanks for the welcome guys.Heres a little about me. I am A O.I.F.2 82nd Airborne combat Vet. State side for good now.Iv always had old Mopar in my blood but time for a change. So I bought 2 1971 f100s. One 4x4 390,4speed. the other for my son is a 4x2 inline 6 with a 3 on the tree.Sons truck runs good, little to low gears.456s so about 45mph is all the 6 will do. The 4x4 have had issues with the right lifters went bad.Number 3 lifters flat spoted cam.So orderd a Comp Cam 268H. Hope that fixes the problem.I replaced all lifters but number 3 lifters still clatter. So waiting for cam kit to get here.
Always good to have another vet on board! Nice trucks, by the way! Man, your sons truck must just scream with those 4.56s in it, especially at 45! My 67 was like that around 60 mph, sounded like a B-17 taking off!
