Autobody/paint work?

Who do you all recommend?

I'm not looking for show quality, and I'm not really looking for "restore to new" quality.

I'd just like a nice, clean, consistent repaint of my truck once I get the body panels replaced.

Ideally, someone that would be able to fill in whatever holes need filled in (mirrors, trim, etc.) and then can give it a good paint job that'll last a few years.

What's Maaco like these days? Earl Schreib?

Perhaps someone independent that you folks know of?

I'm not opposed to spending a few bucks for it done right, but I really don't want to spend several thousand for something that's going to be a driver and toy.

Ultimately, this would be someone or someplace that's within a short drive of the Albany area...

Odd as it may sound............The Maaco in eugene does nice work.

Sent several of rigs there over the years, not expecting much (for the $$ or the condition of the vehicle) and being pleasantly surprised.

Not "Barrett and Jackson" quality, but more than good enough for people who aren't going to put it under a microscope!

Depends on how much you want to pay........$350 for a "scuff and shoot" with a stock, house color to $600-800 for lots of prep and custom colors.

Hmm... So closer to $1,000 if I wanted to get a few dents fixed and get the 2-tone redone... not bad.

$1000 ain't bad at all, if that's a whole truck...

If I gut the doors, will they prep/shoot the insides of them as well?

They do any "extra" stuff, like filling holes?

If you look on their website they have a list of stuff they do. For $1,000 you should be able to get the whole outside and the jams done by them. I've heard that you should pull your own trim before you take it there if you want it to look good afterwards.

They do dent pulling and filling there for extra cost.
