Thru Frame Brake Plumbing

Has anyone used these items from Speedway or others. I am in the process of plumbing the front disc brakes and while I am leaning towards welding the tabs on the bottom of the frame for the flex lines and connecing the hard lines from the proportioning valve to those. I am also considering the thru frame hardware to make it all a little cleaner and better looking.

Or is there another system I am unaware of?

Thanks,

$20+ each?!

No thanks.

And, if it brakes out in Nowhere AZ, you wont be finding a replacement at 2am.

Yep, I use them too. Pretty slick way to go from NPT to AN if you need the conversion. I run hard line up to the feedthru and then braided stainless from there to the caliper. BTW, I don't ever go to Nowhere AZ...not that I would ever be worried about a piece of stainless tubing breaking if I did. In fact I would hope that it "brakes".

Yeah, chance of them failing is slim - none.

Like my grammar skills? ;-)

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it looks like a "pair" to me.

Thanks for your input guys. While this truck isn't intended to be a real show truck, I do want all installed as nice and clean as possible.

I have the rubber lines that go through the frame and have a brake clip on the inside of the frame (holding it to the frame). The hard line screws into the rubber hose from inside the frame.

hard to do when the frame is boxed, as in my case. I JUST mounted the inner fender, so can't take a clean pic..

Didn't know his was boxed, your right for boxed it's either a tab or thru frame fitting.

with my MII, I couldn't run under either as the crossmember is in the way.
and it can't come out the back, too far away.. so, I had to go over and around the MII on the inside of the box, and then thru..

My pics

in the enderwell
on the inside of the chassis
