I believe number dummy is the person i need to ask but whoever can help, please help. I have a 1990 F8000 and a 1993 F9000 and find it very hard to find parts. I have people working on them at a garage but they are having trouble as well so I may not get the part names exact but will do my best. I first need for the f8000 drum studs and nuts. I guess the drums have studs that hold them on and they are "turning or spinning" in the holes and he cant get them out to replace the drums and brakes. these are the front tires. I need them for both front tires. The drivers seat also continually leaks air so I need the air cushion I guess to replace. Thats the most important. My email is devlenf@gmail, please help asap. I have been broken down for q month now. These trucks were truned into septic trucks so they have vacuum pumps on them if anyone out there knows anything about vacuum pumps I dont and I cant find anyone around here(chattanooga, Tn) to work on them. Thanks
devlen, you should really consider taking your truck to another shop. The front axle is the same or atleast very similar to every other heavy trucks front axle. So, if your guy is having trouble with them he must be very new at this.. The wheel studs may be stripped out of the hub? Either way your guy should know how to cut the nuts off and pound the old studs out of the hub.
All these parts should be relatively easy to find at any big truck shop/ warehouse.
