EGR Delete

EGR Delete
I know this has been talked about a lot but I just want a simple answer. On the Spartan tuner anything above the 250 tune the program runs with a EGR delete in the program. With that being said do I still have to get a EGR delete kit to get the full benefits of having an EGR delete system. Also I saw someone posted a comment about smoke. Does the EGR delete kit make the truck smoke more? I was just trying to figure out the full reasoning behind the EGR delete and if I need both the delete on the tuner and the actual delete kit.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

FYI I have a full exhaust no emissions on the truck with a cold air intake <o></o>

If you wanting more airflow and to delete the EGR system I suggest the no limit pipe. Moves a lot more air then typical intercooler pipes and made in the USA

FYI, SMONTANA,
Be aware that without the EGR system there, you could get un necessarily high boost, and even scary high boost, running bigger tunes.
I'm running very similar stuff to you, and i hit 20-30 lbs of boost under light - moderate acceleration, which I find stupid, but most find acceptable.
Not trying to discourage you, but just sharing observations.
I figured running no EGR would need less boost, and it should, but it seems that programmers either have trouble programming the turbocharger, or decided to not bother.
I heard that with the EGR delete, the boost is even higher, which is just crazy, and IMHO completely un necessary.
High boost = high back pressure = fuel mileage hurting. There are people that say turbochargers are "100%" effecient, and high boost is good, but I've been looking into this for a long time now, in depth, and my opinion still stands than if you have good EGT's, any extra boost is making back pressure that will hurt mileage. Plain and simple.
