Question 60's Ford Truck VIN Decode Help Please?

<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1; COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1 itxtNodeId="1655"> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
Hi! I recently bought a Ford Pickup, definitely a project, & I can only locate 1 vin plate on the driver's side door. Can anyone help me decode, please? MVD here in AZ is absolutely no help, & I have no title. It's F10BR567080.

Any help would be really appreciated. I've googled online but get mixed/conflicting information. Thank you!

I can help you with title issue as going thru that right now myself. Do not have my books avail at moment but would appear to be a 64' by the 567 VIN.
There is also a VIN on right frame rail. Send me a PM re: Title.

Where in AZ are you located?

Welcome to FTE

The only places the VIN will be found are on the Warranty Plate and stamped (hidden) atop the right (passenger) side frame rail either just in front of, or partially under the cab.

F10 = F100 2WD

B = 262 1V I-6.

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.

567080 = 1964, assembled July 1964.

Smile Vin DeCode Help

Thank you everyone for all the info. I suspect the door (with plate) was a replacement of the original. Comparing photos of the front end & grille & the truck having a Twin I-beam suspension, appears to be a 1966 with a 1964 driver's door. Will have to find the vin on the frame rail to be sure. Will repost when I get to that. May be a while. Thanks again. Great forum.

The doors are the same: 1961/66 F100/1100 (except 1961/63 Uni, but will fit all, as the only dif is their straight thru scallop line) / 1967/69 F800/1000.

Peeps replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they did not install the original Warranty Plate on the replaced door.

When this occurres, the VIN, all the codes on the Warranty Plate no longer match.

Thanks so much for your help. Ill take a closer look at the color type again. Also the grill has me puzzled it looks like almost like it had a 64 front put on it. what would be the odds of that from factory do you think?

None!
All 1961/66 grilles will interchange, so it's possible that due to an accident, a body shop installed a 1964 grille, because they were unable to find a 1963 original.

Or a previous owner liked the looks of the 1964 grille better.

1961-1964's have the parking lamps within the grille, 1965/66's have the parking lamps mounted above in the upper grille panel.

Left: 1964/66 / Right: 1961/63.

If you look at the parts catalog pic, you can see that the 1961 grille (F O R D in center) is different than 1962, the 1962 grille (star [+] in center) is different than 1963.
