Pioneer DVD And Polk Upgrade, But got a ?

I pick up a Pioneer avh-1400dvd and Polk 5x7 speakers the other day. Going to install today but wanted to know if there is a way to bypass the brake with out buying the kits that are out. I know you use to be able to conect it to the ground and that was it. But not so sure on the new stuff.

I am sure there is a way.

Try avic411.com

I was looking around that site researching a nav system for my truck.

ok you can use a relay witch is the best way. Or you can run the brake wire to a ground and put a switch to break it. I will be doing the switch for now because I dont want to take the dash and all off again right now. The trick is the player has to come on then it needs to be grounded. Tried it a few times yesterday and worked great.
