And we have contructions trucks that come in the shop who have already surpassed 100K with no issues, I know I've checked the OASIS. The only thing the customers put into the trucks are Oil,fuel, and DEF. So, So far, things are looking really great for the Ford built 6.7L.

100,000 miles is not enough to know if the 6.7 is a good engine.

I have 242,000 on my 5.4 and according to the GVWR and the actual weight of the vehicle I have been driving it orverloaded for the past 12 years with no problems, that could exlain why it goes through brakes.

When I bought my new truck I was told the 6.7 was designed for 250,000 miles, seems to me if my 5.4 has been trouble free for 242,000 miles, the 6.7 should have no problems for a lot more than 250,000 miles.

I am sure the yugo and the pinto looked like a good thing when they were new, but we know how that turned out.

Like I said not enough vehicles with enough mileage on the 6.7 to know if it is a good engine, 800 ft lbs of torque is a lot though.

I agree and mentioned it a few posts back that 100K is nothing to any vehicle. 200K shouldn't be any problems with any diesel trucks either. After 300K I would maybe expect a few small things to start going wrong. Any truck should be able to go 500K with minor engine repairs. If it can't it is not reliable and no truck I want in my yard.

As far as the 6.7's what about all the high pressure fuel pump problems that ford won't fix under warranty because they can blame someone else? I don't know about anyone else but I would be uber pissed if my fuel pump went out on my 2011 truck that I NEED for work every day and then ford comes and tells me I have to pay the $11,000 bill to replace the pump after I just got done paying $60,000 for the truck. I wouldn't buy another ford vehicle in my life! I would also make damn sure everyone knows what happened too!

Haven't heard of this issue till now. Check the part number on the pump and we haven't sold one yet.

Go down and check the 6.7 section here as well. Lots of theads about the fuel pump problems, some over 10 pages have even been locked because of "problems".
