After 400k, they revert back to 300k.

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with you about Schwab I'm just going to find a way to bleeder and see if that fixes the problem. I will start looking into a new steering box, I'll get the steering shaft checked out anyway but your probably right. As far as the mileage I will let you know when I hit the 399,999 mark.

When I hit 400k, I am going to make a plate to keep on the dash with the day and time I hit it, so that way I know my true mileage.

Check the pitman arm too. I had a lot of play in mine.

I'll go over all the steering linkage with a fine toothed comb. That's a good idea about the plaque, is your speedo in mph or kmh? Mines in kmh.

Reason I brought it up is do you think the canadian fords have the same prob with the mileage turning over at 400,000 as the American ones do?

Well yes, but not "mileage" . It would turn over from 399,999 km to 300,000. It's because there literally isn't the segment on the display to make a "4" in the leftmost digit (see my post above). I can describe it graphically if it's not clear.

I think I may also get a set of those small stickers that are numbers and just superimpose the true number over the leftmost digit. So 400,000k rolled over to 300,000 would be (4)00,000

When ya'll are talking about the mileage rolling over, are ya'll refering to the analog or digital odometers?

Digital. Analog rolls back to 00000 at 100k, on the 5 digit and not sure on the newer ones. They are likely accurate if 6 digits.

I knew it, my 97 is only reading 330, but I could have swore that 3 years ago it was at 385. I've been thinking I was crazy this whole time, but yet again my shrink was wrong

All the OBS PSDs were digital. Weird, the '97 and '98 half-tons went _back_ to analog, with a full 999,999 capability. The later trucks had digitals with all the segments in the leftmost digit.

My truck survived, yeah I wanted to brag too about the miles accomplishment. Ford crushed my dreams with cheaping out on it.
