Turbocharged Natural Gas V10 on CL

ford V10 engine

I just came across this ad on Craigslist. Wouldn't this make a cool swap for an off road truck?

generator motors are generally tuned just to give greatest efficiency at the specific RPM they run at... usually have a ****ty powerband. additionally since the turbo is mounted behind the motor, smack dab where the firewall is, I think it'd be about as much work to fit that as it would be to fit an aftermarket turbo.

Somewhere I read a while ago that the modular V10 in generator form is set to operate around 3000 rpm.

I'd put open headers on it and set it to do its self test every morning at 7am. I don't care if its hooked up to the generator or not. I hate my neighbors and need a louder alarm clock.

My neighbors are the kind of people that break the windows out of their own car during a domestic dispute at 2:30 AM. Now that i think about it, I think the best kind of internal combustion alarm clock for them would be one that vents the tailpipes into their bedroom while a recording whispers "breathe deeply!"

Hey hasteranger, You were speaking in your "out loud" voice again. That was something you may not want to say out loud. Oooops.
