302 block help

On a 302 block how can you tell if the cylinders are egg shaped

bore gauge or a really accurate inside micrometer. If you don't have those tools,would be cheaper to take it to a machine shop or maybe find a friend with those tools.

If you have the heads off, they make a special tool with a dial micrometer to measure wear, taper and such. With the heads on, I don't know.
