What does "LR" mean for ABS codes

Is it left rear, left rotor, or maybe left right, meaning the rear since there is only one sensor? Ive never replaced the harness or the sensor. So the one on the truck has 469k on it. I went ahead and replaced the rear sensor and have the harness that I should get it on tomorrow.

I was digging around and found some Ford ABS codes. The codes I found list Left Front, Right Front, Left Rear and Right Rear. I'm assuming that Ford uses the same generic codes for all their vehicles. Maybe they just use the Left Rear set of codes for the single rear sensor in the pickups?

What are you using to read codes? All the ABS codes I've ever seen are numeric, so where is the LR coming from?

Thanks badhabit,,, all my symptoms point to the rear. Cruise and speedo are sporadic when abs light is off, but they works fine when light is on. My understanding is that the pcm looks to the rear first for input, but in case of a failure, it then goes to the front. So when my abs light is on and everything is working, the pcm is getting info from the front

AE should be giving you standard 5 letter codes. The first digit will be B or C in this case, indicating which system, then the next 4 are the code. I've never seen AE give any codes that are different than this.
