I'm thinking a 8" with 3" body lift will work

Have you considered doing the front axle coil conversion? Those huge meats are gonna suck to turn, and the coil sprung will give you slightly better radius

I would also recommend a full hydraulic steering system with those wide tires.

Is your truck a diesel? If so you will need to get custom intercooler pipes made if you want to do a body lift.

Have you thought about painting the inside of those new wheels "green" to match your truck? This FTE member painted his wheels and it looks pretty cool!

I actually cheated. Used a green vinyl, 4 hrs of sitting on the couch wrapping them! Wasn't sure if i was going to like it or not but i couldn't be happier with the results. Has held up very well so far.

I was running 38's with a 9'' lift but a buddy wanted to trade me for a more less new set of 40s.

Had to trim the front bumper on the lower corners and i did cut some material out of the back fender. I then heated up the flares and pushed them back so the tires wouldn't grab them under large bumps.

I have not had any rub issues since. Even at full lock hitting bumps i have not had a issue. That being said i wish i would of went with a 10'' lift just for peace of mind.

My wheels are rbp 18x10 with a -25 offset.

I could of went with cutouts but i'm not really a fan of them.

Installing a hydraulic steering assist kit should actually save your $$$ in the both the short and long term. With those wide 15.5" tires, there will be huge amount of stress on the OEM steering box. Also, you will need dual steering stabilizers for proper road handling. Also, you most likely will need a cross-over steering kit for the GEN1 front suspension.

OEM Steering Box - $309.18 from PartGuyEd.com
2003 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY Parts - www.partsguyed.com

Quality Dual Steering Stabilizers - $309.95 from TopgunCustomz.com
99-04 Ford Super Duty F250/F350 Dual Steering Stabilizer Black with Bilstein Cylinders @Top Gun Customz

Icon Cross-Over Steering Kit - $854.44
39500 - Late 1999 - 2004 Ford Super Duty F250 / F350 Cross Over Steering Kit - ICON Vehicle Dynamics

I am in the process of purchasing parts for a 40" tire install and lift kit for my 2005 F350 4X4. I contacted PSC and was informed that all I needed was their SKR500 kit and have my OEM steering box "ported" for the conversion. The cost was $507.00 plus shipping. However, the link for the SKR500 kit is no longer valid. I would contact Kevin Jackson at PSC and see what components are available for your Super Duty.

Here is the email response from PSC.

You will need to send your gear in for us to port it. It runs $507 plus shipping for the ported gear, cylinder with hardware and hoses. I would replace the pump with a new factory one and you should be good to go.<o></o>

The benefits (other than better control over the wide tires) are that you will not need the dual steering stabilizers or the cross-over steering kit.

Full hydro steering is illegal for on road use. You need a mechanical link for front on road steering. Hydro assist would be nice though.
