That's amazing that someone has already done this. Actually, it looks better than I would have imagined but I'd still rather not have that done to my truck...

I was reading this thread...I don't think I have seen any sunroofs in any of these trucks. Does anybody have one in our trucks? Just curious? I have never seen one.

I've seen a few but it was not a pretty sight...

IMHO, sun roofs in these trucks go in the same category as chain steering wheels and pimpmobile wheels!

Looks good, if the flat glass came down to match the corner ones it would look even better. Takes that blind spot out. Oh ,and i know how to spell "chevy" i see a few others don't. L.O.L....

I had a 49 Chevy 5 window truck and those corner cab windows were the best part of the truck. I think the one on craigslist with the chevy 5 window cab corner windows looks amazing!

This subject was brought up some time ago, my suggestion would be to something like a VW clothe cover:

The curvature of the VW roof might match the roof of our old Fords so you might be able to use the roof panel from a VW.

IMO, this is the only way it would look somewhat period correct. I personally wouldn't cut a hole in the roof of any car I owned. My wife had a Fire Bird with T-tops that leaked from new. The floor pans ended up rotting out from the water saturating the floor carpet. My son currently has a '90 Grand Prix with a factory sun roof and he has leaking problems.

That's why trucks have mirrors. Most of us are old farts who couldn't turn their head around that far to see out a window even if there was one there. If drivability were such a big factor then I would expect to see more late model trucks with wraparound rear windows.

If this is such a great idea then why don't we see Chevy 3100 2nd series trucks with these windows?

I am not interested in putting a sunroof in my truck, I was just surprised I never see it done. I personally don't like sunroofs and t-tops. I hate the sun glare in my eyes..
I had a Jeep and liked the sides opened up, but I always had the full soft top on. I tried to go topless for awhile, but it's just not me!

If the back window was as tall as the corner windows it wouldn't have looked too bad.

I have a set of dodge corner windows kicking around. I think they're smaller than gm. My 54 jimmy is a 5 window, so I could measure them both up if anyone wants the dodge glass it's up for grabs......

I'm not shy, just don't see the point. I want my Ford to look like a Ford. If a wanted a corner windowed cab I'd be working on a chev....see I can spell too....lol. No offence to anyone here, but, if you want to screw up a good thing then 'flyatter'.

I had a 95 Mustang GT convertible awhile back. Any time the weather was between 65-85, my top came down. With such a nice body, I got used to all of the stares! You should have given it a bit more time!
