Willie, I saw your thread over on the SD forum. Although it isn't my cup of tea, I have to say your craftsmanship is excellent. Very well done.
I have to wonder though, what are you going to do when the Ipad 3 comes out and it is 1/4" larger? You're married to an electronic item that upgrades every year or less. So I hope you enjoy this work, cause you're going to be doing a lot of it.

im not the type to run out and buy the iPad 3 when it comes out anyway... I'm sure i will get a few years worth of use out of the iPad 2.... its the ultimate toy imo... and i am more than happy with the setup i have....

The white dash is a little too much for me. If you had just the center part white and where the vent is on the left painted white, then left the part around the gauges black I think that would look really good. But otherwise its a cool idea and very nice work.

that would look good... we thought of that as one of the ideas when we were doing mock-ups.... but figured it would look funny from the front of vehicle... we figured it would look better solid from all views... and it is just far enough from the windshield that it does not reflect the white in my direct field of view.... that was another concern....
