Anyone Have A Tube Bumper?

Has anyone gone with a pre-runner style tube bumper?? Yes I know they are nothing compared to a real offroad bumper that can hit an elephant at 100mph haha!

I seen this bumper online and thought it looked really nice!

That looks good, but it has no crash protection at all. I would not put that on my truck. But I do have a Fab-Tech light bar which is a tube bar bolted up to the stock bumper.

I am not going to disagree, but I will say, what protection does the stock bumper offer? Have you seen the brackets that mount the bumper to the truck? Its just a light duty stamped metal bracket, any type of real impact and the bumper is useless it just crushes itself onto the rest of the truck..

I had an Off Road Tech bumper, shown in my sig pic. It offered great protection, except to the F150 that ran a stop sign in front of me. The stock bumper crushes and absorbs impact, a stronger bumper transfers all the force to your frame and the frame gets more damage.

True, I agree also, I guess I am refering to small fender benders and more minor wrecks. Because in a major wreck nothing is going to save the truck. My thinking looking at that bumber with no corners something that is minor will just go up under the truck and wheels. If the impact doesn't hit strait on. I just would rather have more protection.
