Rear leaf spring shackles

Where can i find a set of rear leaf spring shackles for my 84 F150 2 wheel drive?

Nobody seems to carry them, i've been finding allot of aftermarket kits that don't resemble the original parts.

I got both the rear frame spring hanger, and the shackle from a local Ford dealer.

PS, have you checked with our sponsors and other advertisers on this site ?

You could look in the bed of my truck out in my driveway. I've got a set I pulled off my 86 F150 4x2 SWB since I am changing the rear suspension to a 4-link. They sit there, with the leaf springs, front and rear brackets, and even the upper shock mounts. How about the bolts? You good there?

My Ford dealer had the frame bracket in stock, and I only paid $40 for it. I bet they have the shackle too.

Note: These are the shackle kits, not the spring hanger brackets that are riveted to the frame rails, and are prone to rusting out.

I found 20 NOS front kits and 1 NOS rear kit...see above. NOTE: The bushings can be bought by themselves, so there's no need to buy kits if all you need are the bushings.

I pulled the springs, shackles, and mounts off my truck a few months ago. I put my eyes on them last night. They are solid, and only need to be cleaned up and hit with a coat of paint to look like new. The shackles are worth about 25 cents each as scrap metal which is where they are heading. Now, if I only knew someone who could use them....

I'm not FOS, and I do not appreciate being called a liar! See post #6 for the Ford part numbers and the APPLICATIONS.

F250 is not the same. The OP's truck is a 1984 F150 2WD. 1980/81 F100/150 2WD, 1986 and later F150 2WD do not use the same rear spring-REAR shackle kits as 1982/85 F100/150 2WD.

The Ford Dealer Parts Locator System has no PDC (Parts Depot Center) status for either kit, which means they are cancelled, obsolete, not serviced, not replaced = no longer available from FoMoCo.

Type both part numbers in tousleyfordparts.com and/or partsguyed.com websites and this is what you'll see:

EOTZ-5630-G = Part Discontinued.

E2TZ-5630-A = Part number not found. The kit is obsolete, that's why the number is not found.

If you think my part numbers are wrong, get yourself a 1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog and look the part numbers up yourself.

Ridiculous! I've looked up and found 1000's of Ford parts for FTE members, available and obsolete. This is the first time I'm being called a liar for doing so.

Assuming there is no confusion as to the parts being talked about here....

Yes, I agree, put the part numbers into those Web sites Bill listed above and see what comes back from Ford. Even though both sites will allow you to Add to Cart, pay attention to where they say the parts are discontinued because, even if you give them money and try to buy the things, they'll send you an e-mail saying the part is no longer available. I made this mistake long ago, before FTE and before I understood what was happening.

Then, put 'em into partsvoice.com to see what NOS retailers say they have to sell.

There may be others around at various Ford dealers that don't participate in the Dealer Locator System or the PV system (or don't have old parts like this listed in them) but consider yourself lucky if you find such a dealer.

PV has been known to be wrong, too - it can sometimes take a lot of time before it's updated with current information as vendors sell things.

Bill - looking at Brad's post, my general sense is that he's referring to parts counter guys at local dealers the OP is going to, not you in particular.

Brad - am I wrong? If not, please tell us what Ford dealers have these things.

Autozone has them listed for 250, 350. Look them up as a 150, no listing. Rock Auto specifies the same one AZ had for 250's, but qualifies them as 4wd...

AZ and RA agree on Dorman 722-004, but with the mentioned qualifiers.

I just bought these for my 95 f 150. When the box got here, to my surprise, everything had ford part number stamps on them. I guess someone bought out a parts department somewhere
