dyingtolive is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
There's all kinds of people that make offroad lights. KC, Hella, PIAA, WARN, ARB, Lightforce, hell, even Summit Racing has their own brand of lights if I'm not mistaken.

4 Wheel Parts and Summit Racing are your friends.

i think i have a total of $20 in steel and welding rods plus 2 hours assembly time in my mount on the 02.
the 79 has a double tube roll bar mounted in the bed with the light bar mounted on the light tabs.

You could make one that attaches magnetically...

Use some Large magnets to attach it?
That's the only way i see around drilling through the roof... Plus it makes it detachable...
Place a small piece of felt inbetween the sheet metal and the magnet to save your paint maybe?

Just an idea...
