I have an EDGE CTS Monitor on my '04' Ex. with the early 6.0L that reads the FICM voltage. My question is, "Is this reading, the CTS Monitor reading, as accurate as the one I would get if I went through FICM Voltage check procedure in the Tech. Manual on this site?"
Currently when I turn the ignition on, and before I start the motor, it reads 47.5 to 48.5 volts. Based on the info. on this site that is within specs.
Just wondering about the accuracy.
Thanks for any thoughts/input here.
I have the CTS as well. I also just got my FICM repaired by Ed. Prior to the repair, my FICM voltage dropped as low as 26 when cranking. After the repair, it never goes below 47.5. I'm no expert by any means, but it's accurate enough for me
My CTS reads 47.5-48.5, good enough for government work. A half volt isn't the death knell for the FICM, when it drops below 45V is when it's time to get it fixed.
How do you guys get FICM reading on a CTS? I bought a CTS a year ago and dont have it
I think you have to update you "Fusion" software and then up date your reader.
I bought mine two years ago and updated my reader last fall and I can read the FICM voltage
This is either the latest or nearly latest firmware verison from Edge:
Firmware Version: 3100155733
Calibration Version: 350102565
Application Version: 5010
FPGA Version: 1922682447
If you have this then you should have FICM V as a PID now.
