Patch Hole In Roof

I think my truck must of been an ice cream truck in the past because there is a 1" hole in the rear center of the roof, it looks like there was a loud speaker mounted there

Ok maybe it was for an extra antenna or light bar but cant a guy dream haha!!

Right now its just plugged with a black plug which would look good and be unnoticable if it was just that, but they covered the whole thing in a silicone sealer which is turning white so now it looks like I have a giant bird poo on the roof. Now this would not bother me if I never seen it, if is it was just a black plug. The problem is when I go over to a friends house which is 2 stories I look down at my truck in the driveway and i see this bird poo looking mess on the roof and it angers me!!

Any idea on a fix for this besides welding in more metal and repainting? I was thinking about buying a satellite radio kit just to be able to but the antenna over the hole. I am just looking for a cheap simple fix. Any ideas?? Maybe I can just scrape off all the silicone and get a new black black plug and seal it with some black RTV?

Maybe it was a CB antenna?
Fill it with a new antenna?

Or if cost matters, just cut a round disk of sheet metal, paint it black or close to stock color, and JB weld it over the hole.
Yeah, I play banjo on the weekends....

How about you pull the plug, clean it and the roof.
Then put a LITTLE bit of BLACK RTV on the underside of the plug and put tin back in. Wipe any residual RTV off.
DONE.

No need to make a mole hill into a mountain

Depending on where the hole is how about a pop-up sunroof?
