Seat hard to slide/tilt

Hello,

I have an 08 ranger ext cab and the passanger seat has become hard to slide forward and back. Also its really hard to pull the handle on the side to tilt the back of the seat forward to get behind the seat. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Normally it's caused from dis-use (if that's a word) and humidity causing a rust layer to form. The fore and back movement are done on rails that have ball bearings. You have 4 bolts that hold the seat to the floor. Unbolt and pull the seat. Once it's out, lubricate liberally. I believe that there is also 4 bolts that hold the seat frame to the seat, you can pull the seat off the frame once it's out of the truck to get at the moving pieces easier.
