Yeah, he posted over in the 7.3L forum and I asked him to post them here in the sticky'd "Free" thread. He posted here, but in a new thread so I moved it to the "Free" thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post11458924

I read his post and he says they are stock but have v designation? Does that mean they are gonna be taller and stronger than stock springs?

What do you mean?

Even if you found a worn out V code in a junk yard it's gonna be taller, stronger, and better than the stock Excursion spring.

In the ad he say's one spring is older than the other, but I bet they're still comparable.

Ok I was just confused from how he worded it saying they were stock springs and if I'm correct the v and b springs were on superduty pickups and not the excursion hence the taller stance?

Sorry about the confusion.
I keep reading about doing v and b spring Mods maybe I am misinterpreting what is meant, I thought it meant adding v or b code springs to the spring pack. Or are these springs the stock springs and just get modified?

V codes are stock OEM springs found on F250/350's. Same with the rear B codes.

Stock 4x4 Excursion springs are crap. They are a POS spring that allows the dreaded Steering Wander.

To cure the Excursion Steering Wander, the OEM Excursion springs are replaced with OEM F250/350 springs. The most common springs used are the front V codes and the rear B codes.

Oh
I just bought my ex and am pretty new to all of its technical info (i have good knowledge on my exploder!) And it has a leaking steering stabilizer which I am going to replace once I'm back from camp, but I have a steering wander and assumed it has to be the stabilizer. I guess that its a possibility it is a little of both so I will keep alert once I replace the stabilizer.

Would i be correct to assume that if I do have a steering wander attributed to my springs that the v code springs the other member has replaced could possibly help correct it or atleast make an improvement?

That's hilarious, no I'm working night shifts and still in transition which is leaving me very exhausted. On all my breaks I have been searching around these forums and researching anything of interest for my vehicle. I appreciate your willingness to reply to stupid questions!
