Just wanted to swing in and introduce myself. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan for what is hopefully my last tour overseas. Recently bought a 02 F250 PSD and will finally get to drive it when I return home on R&R Leave in June. This is my first diesel and I went with the 7.3L due to its track record. the truck has just under 200k on the ticker and I want to address any issues with her before I make the drive to So California with my fiance when I return. Would anyone be able to lend me a hand checking things over with me. I just want to make sure I address any issues the truck may have before driving down for a week.

Welcome to FTE and thanks for serving. Wish i knew anything about diesels but sadly i only recently learned that they don't use spark plugs Hopefully everything works out.

 

where will you be (in washington) in june?

 

I have a '96 with a 7.3. She had 109k on her the day I bought her,,, now just rolled over 240k.

I would be more than happy to chat with you on what you may want to look for,,, good and bad!!

Cliffordingles I am with 725 BSB (Airborne) out of fort richardson AK we are based out of Fob Salerno and run gun trucks and convoy security missions. I will be back in june for R&R so maybe we can link up.

 

Yea man that's cool. I'm not sure if i will be back in June though. We are scheduled for end of July as of right now.
