I love that Crossbreed Supertuck. I use it for my Glock model 27 and even drive with the gun in the holster. Fits perfect just off to my side in between the seat belt anchor and the seat back. What's their motto? The ugliest holster you'll ever love? lol, they are right on both accounts.
I have two of them. One Supertuck for my 9mm and a minituck for my SW B380.
I am going to get both my dad and brother one as Christmas gifts.

I am going to be ordering another supertuck for my airweight .38 special bodyguard really soon. I have been trying to convince the wife to carry it. Right now the .38 rides in an uncle mikes el-cheapo in the top of my right cowboy boot If I feel I cannot hide the 1911 well enough.
Bob, what model pancake do you wear? If you don't mind. I have been looking at picking up a Galco Avenger for the 1911, but I am open to suggestions.
As a side note, Scheels is very Pro 2A. I called to see what brands of holsters they sold and they told me to just swing in with my pistol and I could try any they had there. If I was not comfortable with bringing in mine they offered to pull one out of their display and let me fiddle around with holsters. Not what I expected from a big box store in the "big mall" around here. Even if they are a sporting goods store. I'll probably just have them get one out of the display though. I believe that unless it is needed, it should stay holstered. Pistols are not toys or trophys to be shown off anywhere at any time in public.

Must be nice. Too bad it's a felony here unless you have a CCW permit. Simple enough except carry permits are all but impossible to obtain in this town. Most of us in my county have to live with a "sportsman" restriction which means only "competition, hunting, or carrying in remote areas." Thus if you are going hunting or to the range it needs to be locked up with the ammo separate.

I have a couple of different Galco pancakes. The one I ended up wearing most of the time is called the "Concealable Belt Holster", a modified pancake with more forward cant. The other is a more classic pancake called the "Combat Master Belt Holster", a bit less cant so it prints more. In any case, Galco makes fine holsters, IMHO.
The SuperTuck is nice too, just not quite as comfortable as a belt holster but can work better in terms of concealment in certain situations but isn't match legal. Practice with what you carry.
I've got a box full of holsters, some have gone unused for years.

Thanks for the info on the Galco, they look very nice and except for the guys who buy only custom leather they come highly recommended on other forums I am a member of. I am just starting my collection on holsters. Dad was a cop for many years, passed many of his unused ones to me to see if they fit my wants and needs. Mostly the answer was no.
BrockwayMT,
That is how the Iowa law used to be. We were considered a "May Issue" state. Your ability to get a permit rested on the shoulders of the Sheriff of the county you reside in. In effect this lead to 99 different policies on the issuing of CCW permits. Legislators in the past couple of years have really come a long ways on gun rights here in Iowa and now we are considered "Shall Issue". Basically, if you can pass the background check, and take an approved training course you will be able to get your permit. Right now they are working on a law that is considered a "Stand your ground law" or a "Castle Doctrine" As the laws are now, you have a Duty to Retreat. A stand your ground law would allow would be victims to defend themselves with deadly force without the fear of legal repercussions. It is not a decision to be taken lightly to carry a weapon. But, with all of that said, it should be left up to the individual, not the Sheriff. If you can pass the background check, I believe you should be able to carry to defend yourself. Try a search online for concealed carry organizations in your state. Who knows, perhaps there are some working to change the laws in your state.
b-uno,
I have not been able to find a picture of that model Sig in a Crossbreed.
Good talking to all you guys, Glad you let a 6.0 bum come hang out in your forum. I'm getting tired of oil in degas bottle, head studs, and egr delete threads!
