DP reinstall problems

Pull the PCM and take a real good look at all the pins. Make sure none are loose or bent. Also make sure the DP chip is installed correctly and there are no shorts between the connecting contacts where the chip plugs up.
Also check all PCM related fuses.
Hate to ask, but have to. You didn't have the key in the ignition did you?
Edit: Bolt holding the PCM connector must be tight to ensure all PCM pins have good connection.

Appears to be a problem with the cable. At the cable connector to the chip I have a little pigtail of the RED wire with the drain soldered to it. At the switch connector it appears this connection is severed. Can someone verify the drain hits the red wire at both cable connectors? Thanks!

Mike, We were at the movies when you emailed me. I haven't had a chance to respond to you so I am glad you posted on this forum because you will be in good hands. Lots a dirty pool going around on other forums. Diane

I soldered the drain to the red wire sticking out of the switch connector. I used heat shrink and am waiting for the liquid electrical tape to dry. Will reinstall shortly and post results. I can only blame myself for poor switch mounting.
EDIT: Will be sure and ring the cable out before it gets hooked up.

Well, in my haste I overlooked the obvious. Dirty battery connections. This key cycling thing happened after I pulled the tuner again. I thought I cooked the PCM, then had a look at my battery cables......filthy. Truck acted fine after I cleaned connections without tuner. Just finished reinstalling and am headed out for a test drive. Thanks for all the help folks.
