Fuel pressure, carburetor and exhaust.

460, bored .030 over.
Dish top pistons
Cam: Duration 262/272; Lift -479/504; lobe separation 112.
Ported exhaust on D3VE heads.
Hedman full length headers.
Edelbrock 1411 carb (750cfm)
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
Electric fuel pump - fuel pressure gauge shows 8 psi just before the carburetor when motor is at idle.

I would like to get a good balance of power and torque out of this set up between 1200-4000 rpms.

Questions:

1) Are the rods/jets that come in the carburetor from the factory suitable for this set up or do I need different ones? If different ones are needed, which ones are recommended?

2) What is the recommended fuel pressure for this mild build motor? Should the fuel pressure go up, down or stay the same under acceleration?

3) I have planned on a full dual exhaust - 2.5" pipe from the 3" collectors thru dual mufflers (considering Flowmaster 40's) and out the back end of the truck. Is this going to offer adequate exhaust flow for my set up? If I went with 3" instead of 2.5", would I lose power or torque?

Thank you.

1) Should be okay. There are very good instructions in the box regarding springs and jets.
No one knows until you're driving it or put it on the dyno.
2) Too much pressure for an Edelbrock. You want a steady 5-6 psi.
3) 2 1/2"duals should be plenty of flow since you have no Cats and a low maximum rpm.
