Nice Article in Boating World and DP

The March, 2012 edition of Boating World has a nice article about a fellow's 2000 F250 PS and how he upgraded the tranny, added a DP Tuner, gauges, exhaust, etc. It's an interesting read if you happen by a copy. The author's name is Rich Stiner.

Don't tell anyone, but if I find a nice winter day I'll go out, peel back some canvas and sit inside the boat and pretend I'm fixing something. Good for the soul...

We've been out EVERY weekend this winter, rain or shine. Gotta get them crabs. Not really severe towing duty for the truck though.

I hate Florida people and their boats that can go out all year.

I'm slowly talking myself into moving in a southerly direction. The gulf coast has been calling me.

The Spanish Mac's and Kings have been excellent lately! They are the BEST BBQ'd over Pecan wood.

Well to stay on the subject. Thank you for the post it gives me a reason to go buy a Boating magazine. Just what I need in the MIDDLE FEBRUARY is to think about boating... Thanks I needed that!!!!!!!! But I do miss my boat, it is an old 82"SeaRay 260sxl. I also sometimes in the middle of a snow storm will go sit in it and drink a cold one and think of summer. BUT she is a heavy old pig but rides nice in 3-5ft waves. But my point is she is a "PIG" the boat/trailer, fuel, water and gear are between 9200-9600lbs.

That is the reason I bought a 7.3PSD F350 is to pull my boat. And I love my truck and my boat.

Dang, that IS heavy. Bet she's nice and smooth in the chop. You gotta love how the old boats hold up. I just sold my 83 Regal last year and moved to an almost new 99 Sea Ray 210SD. If you like your Sea Ray you might want to poke your head in at Club Sea Ray

Hey, sometimes winter is a good time to catch up on the magazines, do some inside projects and dream of summer.

Ken It is nice to see another SeaRay owner here. I am a member of Club SeaRay. I have a SeaRay plate on my truck that says
"Life begins Where land ends" I actually work on boats for a living but not as much anymore. I'm getting older. And it is a young man's job. Trying to get into some of these engine compartments and hanging upside down. LOL So when I hear the guy around here complaint about working on their truck. I laugh if they only knew.
I have had this boat about 15 yrs and over these years I have have thrown more money than I should in her.
A boat is a hole in the water you throw money at.
B.O.A.T. Brake Out Another Thousand
But now my boat is jeolous because I am throwing my money into my truck. But I have to now I gave up my boat slip on Lake Michigan. So now I am going to be a trailer boater. I want to go places and see things.

I like your security system on your truck Glock 36. So you are a 45 guy. Me too Colt Officer's Lightweight Enhanced modded by Colt.

Wow featured in two magazines this year. There are no words to describe how honored we feel to be apart of each sport. Boating has become a passion of ours. Jody and I grew up on the water.( small f/s boats). We are thrilled to be able to pass on the love we have for boating to our boys. The family bonding is priceless.

Many, many thanks to Rich Stiner for this article and sharing his great experience with our product and service.

Btw- we are members of the Sea Ray club, too!

Diane

Half truths are only half as good for the soul!

You know you sit there behind the wheel and make motorboat sounds! Maybe not in the same vein as Vince Vaughn...

...but you know you do!

I used to have play boats, now for some reason I find more enjoyment in our workhorse boats. I have slightly converted one of our old work boats into a fishing boat. I always hated the little 40hp motor on this tank so I threw together our spare 60 to liven up the boat.

Captain Clay trying out the new rebuild.
