More seat time with the 6.2, 3.73 combo this weekend without a trailer. Went to an Oktoberfest dinner train ride in Strasburg PA, then to Harrisburg to spend the night, then down to Arendtsville for the yearly Apple Festival, and finally home. We had six people in the truck with clothes and gear, water, etc. The trip over we netted 14.6 mpg which was all highway ~75mph, 322 through the mountains which was fairly flat. The return trip we got 13.2 which was the city, festival portion and good bit more hills (4th gear). We took 30 for the return trip. This time I found the gauge for MPG on the truck to read ~.2 mpg higher than what was actual. So overall we netted 13.9 round trip. Also had the tire fault warning again, even though all the tires are properly inflated. I guess I am going to have to take it into ford to see what is going on there. Onto the pics...

Stats from the truck

Tire fault issue again...

I just completed a trip from NJ to FL and back to NJ again. I got an average of 8.5 MPG with my TT in tow. When we left for Florida, the winds from the Nor Easter that blew though were not fun to deal with. I was running around 7.5 MPG in stretch of the drive. I kept 6th lockout and for awhile drove in 4th. The wind was coming from the front and side of the combo. On the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I felt it blow in the front and side of the truck and trailer which was oh so fun. Mileage was better in GA and FL due to the flats. Mileage was also pretty good in MD, PA and NJ (return side of the trip) as I was going much slower due to weather limitations. (rain) I found out that anything over 65 was a pretty big drop. If I was 65 or under, the mileage was higher.

For the most part, I have been averaging around 12 MPG mixed, 15 MPG all highway and 10 in town (stoplights) With winter blowing in, I will be dropping at least 1-2 MPG as the remote start button gets its winter workout.

6.2l 8' bed

Got the exact rig your looking to buy, I've got a '13 f250 6.2l gas, with 3.73 rears. Right now I'm averaging 10.6, babying her at 1800 rpms @65mph. Mostly highway miles, up here in nj, not too hilly eitherNot that it answers your question, but that's my mileage.

My '15 just turned 1mo old and 2500mi.
Getting mid 11's around town and got 13.5 @75-80mph on 300mi round trip to maine over the weekend.
CC 4wd 3.73 gears, weatherguard tool box and a big air-grabbing ladder rack extending over the cab.
I make no effort to maximize mpg so I'm sure things can/will get better as the engine breaks in and winter fuel goes away in the spring.
I love this truck.

Since loading in the 87 oct performance 5 star tune about 8 weeks ago, with a blended 70 percent stop-and-go driving and 30 percent highway, I am at 12.4 mpg on the lie-o-meter. I have not towed anything other than my johnboat since then. Hard to keep my toe out of it with that perf tune, lemme tell ya.......

I'm happy

dont know about all ur figures but my 2012 250 4*4 cab and a half 373 gets 14.6 around town and 16 on highway at 70-75 empty, i dont treat it as a race truck either cause its not, light on foot and gives me light bill on gas costs

Id love to know how anyone gets 14mpg out of one of these beast. I just hot 1300 miles on my 2015 and Im netting 10+ on the gauge and -10 hand calculated. I tried driving like an ol geezer ( that I am) and nothing.
Any luck with tune kits?

I have a 2012 F250 4x4 6.2 3.73 (73K miles) supercab/ longbed with a cap on it. I don't beat it but don't baby it either and mine will be between 13.4-14.5 mpg depending on how much stop and go. When coming out of the west with the wind behind me and doing cruise control @ 74 mph it will be 15.5 mpg. These are hand calculated not the lie ometer.

My mileage on my 2015 F350 CCLB 6.2 has gone down from averaging around 13 to 14 combined to 10 to 11 combined. I pretty sure it's the cold temps and more idling. It has 4735 miles on it. When I'm plowing, it will drop to around 8 mpg. I'm still loving this truck!

We have 2 f350 C&C's with haybeds on the farm. One 2012 and 0ne 2014. The 2012 has 3.73 gears, 56,000 miles, gets about 9mpg, and will run completely away from any other truck on the road! Pulls 30,000 lb trailers NO PROBLEM. The 2014 has 4.33 gears, 12,000 miles, gets 15 mpg, and won't pull the hat off your head. With the same trailer and the same load, I thought I was going to have to get out and push! These trucks are identical in every way, bone stock with no mods. What's up with that?

I just turned 2k on my 2015 ccsb 4x4 3.73's, I'm getting 13.6 on the lie-o-meter and 13 hand calculated. I'm easy on the pedal and this is mixed driving 50/50 city hiway with some hills.

This doesn't make sense! Has the truck been checked out by a dealer?
