I recently bought an 07 Navi without the fog lights installed. I just purchased a pair of brand new oem fog lights and anticipated this should be a fairly easy job to accomplish. It came with brackets/on & off switch, bulbs, I mean the whole nine. I figured this can't be that difficult to install, after all the wires are visible from where the old one was previously installed and everything so I'm thinking this is a plug and play kind of thing. So I got up underneath the vehicle and could not figure it out. Again the fog light came with a bracket attached to it so I was expecting to see something under the truck for that bracket to screw on to but there was nothing. Am I missing something else that I need to purchase in order for the fog light to be mounted on? Please help!!!
I would remove the bumper, it would make things ALOT easier to deal with. When I painted the grille on mine i removed the bumper, its really not as daunting as it seems and you will have full access to the fog lights, they are a VERY tight fit, i remember fighting them to get them to pop out. Eventually they do and its fine.
After taking a look of your diagram, I think I am missing a piece. Part number 17B968, the lower piece is actually mounted into my bumper, but mines does not have the additional piece as in your diagram that has the four holes that accepts the four bolts. I'll have to visit Ford to get that. Thanks for showing me that diagram.
